Dr Tawfeeq Shekh-Ahmad

Dr Tawfeeq Shekh-Ahmed´s research focuses principally on developing new treatments for uncontrolled or refractory epilepsy, which are the cases where a patient’s seizures fail to respond to available antiepileptic medications. Dr Shekh-Ahmad gained all three of his first degrees – a BSc in Pharmacy, in 2007, MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011, and a PhD researching new anti-epileptic drugs, from the Hebrew University’s School of Pharmacy. Dr Shekh-Ahmed is supervising a project in the next round.
