Najam Ul Zia

Najam Ul Zia is a researcher and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow under the REDI program at LUT Finland. His prior appointments include; researcher at the Faculty of Management and Economics at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Senior Area Sales Manager at Dalda Foods Ltd, Area Sales Manager at Haleeb Foods Ltd, and Territory Sales Manager at FrieslandCampina Ltd. He has worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Kent, UK and Universidad de Castilla La Mancha, Spain. He has also served as a principal investigator in a two-year research funding project IGA (Internal Grant Agency) at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic.

His research interests are mainly in the area of industry 4.0, digital transformation, social capital, knowledge management, big data management, social capital´, and business model innovation. The main topic that underlines his scholarship and public engagement experience is the digitalization, business model transformation, circular economy, and innovation. Currently, Najam is focused to circular economy and digitalization of circular business models and aims to study the business model structures, the logic of value creation and different paths to build circular business activities.

Najam has published peer-review articles in leading international journals, including Review of Managerial Science, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Computers in Human Behavior, and Journal of Knowledge Management.
