Associate Professor Conn’s research interests focus on the development and structural characterisation of lipid-based nanomaterials using high-throughput experimentation and the use of these biomimetic materials to increase the stability and efficacy of hydrophobic drugs, with a specific focus on protein and peptide-based drugs. She has current funding for projects investigating oral delivery of therapeutic proteins (ARC), and Nano-therapeutics for the treatment of drug-resistant TB (Global Connections Fund). Associate Professor Conn is supervising a project in the next round.
