Lecturer Professor Maria Niubó

Maria Niubó has degree in Chemistry by the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and a PhD on Materials Technology by the UB. She holds a lecturer position in the Mining, Industrial and ICT Engineering Department at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She is author and co-author of 11 research items, totaling 266 citations from 230 sources, with an h-index of 9. Of these, 9 are in Q1 and 1 is in Q2. The research results were also disseminated in 13 scientific contributions at Conferences/Workshops. Among them 11 international conference and 8 proceedings of congress with ISBN. During doctorate period her research had been focused on the formulation of composite materials of polymer matrix with application to the automotive sector for sound insulation. Polymer and ceramic materials with experience in the development of new materials and industrial processes, as well as in methods and techniques of physicochemical, mechanical, thermal, and acoustic characterization and microscopy techniques (Optical, Scanning Electron and Atomic Force Microscopy). She has also applied statistical tools such as the design of experiments (DoE) in the optimization of processes, mixtures, and composite materials.
