Charu Negi

Charu is a research enthusiast with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research.

Born in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand in India, she has always found nature and the mountains as her biggest source of inspiration. She has a masters and bachelors (honours) degree in chemistry from Doon University, India. Since her graduation she has been associated with the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai as a NIUS fellow. Her masters thesis was based on stimuli-responsive materials. She has been associated with the Polymer Laboratory at CSIR- Central Scientific Instruments Organization (2020-2021) and the Surface Science and Technology Laboratory at CSIR- Indian Institute of Petroleum (2022).

Charu is also a member of the American Chemical Society. Her scientific interests include nanomaterials, surface science, stimuli-responsive materials, and catalysis. She is passionate about the scientific and industrial research to tackle the current global challenges and work on a sustainable solution which can help a greater community of people along with the research community.
