Sara Eltokhy

Sara is an Egyptian urban planner and a researcher. She is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellow at UIC Barcelona and RMIT University. She is also a teaching assistant at the master programme International Cooperation-Sustainable Emergency Architecture at UIC Barcelona.

With a background in architecture, Sara shifted her focus to urban studies and got a MSc degree in Urban Planning and Policy Design from Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Her main research interest lies in the intersection between forced migration and urban policies with special focus on gender and socio-spatial justice.

Sara’s PhD research focuses on understanding the daily experiences of refugee women to inform urban policies for safer, more inclusive cities.
