Stefano Ascione

After his Bachelor’s in physics at TorVergata University in Rome, Italy, Stefano Ascione developed an interest in both theoretical and computational physics which led him to achieve his master’s degree in theoretical statistical physics.

Fascinated by systems in which constituents’ simple behavior generates complex phenomena, Stefano has concentrated his efforts on the study of fluid dynamics and phase transitions.

His passion for statistical physics was also supported by a strong interest in computer science, thus during his master’s studies he studied computational physics, machine learning, complex and neural networks and optimiaation and statistical mechanics.

Stefano approached the statistical physics field from both theoretical and computational points of view, developing a wide range of numerical simulations.
