Joey Tallon

Joey is currently pursuing his PhD in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering under the REDI MSCA Fellows program with a specialization in 3D modeling and simulation of additively manufactured hybrid architectured lattice materials. Joey completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering (BASc. ME) at the University of Ottawa in 2018 and his Master of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (MScE. ME) at the University of New Brunswick in 2021.

At CNAM/RMIT, Joey is researching design optimization for additively manufactured hybrid lightweight microlattice structures for energy absorption in cyclic loading situations. During his time in the program, Joey hopes to develop the necessary skills required to apply the knowledge gained to other areas of interest, mainly the defence industry. Outside of academics, Joey’s hobbies include a nice balance between gaming indoors and adventuring outdoors.
